Ignite: Evolve is a two-day on-campus experience tailored specifically for transfer students where you will connect with fellow participants and inspiring leaders. Explore the place you will call home, serve the Knoxville community, and elevate your leadership through empowering sessions led by our dedicated Ignite Team Leaders.
Ignite: Evolve takes place on campus, however, housing is not provided. The $125 registration fee includes transportation to city excursions and service sites, meals, a t-shirt, and program materials.
Students participating in Winter Welcome will be able to engage in both Ignite and our Big Orange Welcome, provided by our incredible New Student Orientation team.

- Explore Knoxville
- Serve with a local non-profit organization
- Tour Rocky Top and see your class locations
- Learn UT chants, cheers, and game-day traditions
- Participate in leadership development workshops led by Ignite Team Leaders
- Participants and teams will also receive a ticket to the UT Men’s Basketball game against Alabama on Saturday, January 20
FYI
- Students needing financial assistance to attend the program are encouraged to apply for a fee waiver to attend cost-free
- Housing is not provided during the Ignite: Evolve session; students will need to find lodging on their own
- Students will need to have their 2024 parking pass
