Leadership Knoxville Scholars CAP Partner Application
Leadership Knoxville Scholars is a two-year, cohort-based leadership development and community engagement program. A Community Action Project (CAP) is a two-year project-based internship carried out by a group of Leadership Knoxville Scholars. Each CAP receives a group of three to six students who have the ability to serve roughly 10 hours (total for the group) per month to complete each community partner’s proposed project. Ignite – Knox
Ignite Knox is a four-day leadership and community engagement program that introduces students to our Scruffy City. Participants engage in conversations with UT alum and city leaders, tour the city, serve local nonprofits, and participate in leadership activities. Students will serve on Friday, July 12th. Ignite – Serves
Ignite Serves is a four-day service experience for 500 incoming students. Participants move into their residence halls early and participate in local service opportunities, leadership programming, and social events.Students will serve on Tuesday, August 13th and Wednesday, August 14th. VOLServe is a monthly service series planned by our Leadership and Service Ambassadors. Students who attend are provided with transportation and are given an organized opportunity to serve the local community for an afternoon.These organized days of service are led by a student leader who engages the participants in a meaningful reflection to wrap up the afternoon.To request volunteers for the 2018- 2019 VOLServe Monthly Days of Service, please fill out our online intake form found here.
