Partnership Opportunities

Ignite

Ignite is a leadership and service extended orientation experience for over 500 incoming UTK students each summer. Service-learning is a strong value within the program, so community partners play a significant role in making Ignite a success. The 2023 sessions of Ignite will be held June 15 – 17, June 20-22, and August 16-18. We are hosting information sessions for community partners who want to host volunteers this summer or have feedback regarding the Ignite program in March. Please register for a session through the form on our website.

MLK Jr. Days of Service

MLK Jr. Day of Service is observed every year in January to encourage students to serve their communities and honor the legacy of Dr. King. Historically, this event has been held in one day, but given the positive feedback to our 2021 COVID accommodations, we have decided to permanently split our service up over the course of ten days to better serve students and the community alike. Interested in hosting volunteers during one or more days January 31- February 10? Request volunteers here.

VOLServe

The Jones Center for Leadership and Service sponsors monthly service opportunities for students called VOLServe. During each VOLServe, Jones Center Ambassadors will bring a group of volunteers to your organization to serve during a designated time.  Request volunteers through this form.

Volunteer Fairs

Each semester we invite community partners to campus to talk with students, faculty, and staff about their organization and volunteer needs. During the fair, organizations are provided a table, chairs, and parking pass. The next opportunity to connect with campus at a volunteer fair will be announced in the Spring.
