JCA leading service experience for group at Odd Fellows

JCLS Service & Program Request

Our office aims to provide on-campus opportunities for students to learn leadership and service. To fulfill that goal, we encourage organizations to fill out the forms below to request service events or presentations about community involvement, facilitated by Jones Center Ambassadors (JCAs).

Service Requests:

Want to serve with your organization or group? The Jones Center for Leadership & Service is here to help! Submit the Service Request Form if your group would like to:

  • Meet with the JCLS to discuss best practices for planning a service event that satisfies the JCLS Service Guidelines.
  • Meet with the JCLS for help creating and managing service events in ServeUTK
  • Request a JCA to help plan and facilitate a tailored service experience for your UTK group or organization based on your group’s availability, interests, and size.

Note: If you are a community partner or agency and you have an upcoming service event you would like to share, find more information on our partnership opportunities page

Program Request:

The Jones Center Ambassadors (JCAs) present programs to hundreds of students each year on a variety of topics. The programs we offer include:

  • All About the JCLS (15 or 50 minutes): Participants will learn how to get involved in all programs, workshops, and initiatives offered by the Jones Center for Leadership & Service. This presentation can be customized to your group.
  • Volunteering 101 (30 minutes): Participants will learn more about volunteer opportunities in the Knoxville community and how to sign up for service through ServeUTK. This presentation highlights community partners eager to engage with UTK students, faculty, and staff.
  • How to Be a Good Volunteer (45-60 minutes): Participants will learn about intentionally engaging with their community, the importance of service and reflection, and getting involved with our community partners.
