Ignite: Summit is a three-day off-campus experience for incoming students who want to immediately engage in what it means to be a Vol. Led by Ignite Team Leaders—current students at UT—this experience provides a warm welcome to Big Orange Country.
Ignite: Summit takes place off-campus. The $225 registration fee includes transportation to the site location, air-conditioned lodging, meals, a low-level ropes course, a T-shirt, and program materials.

Session Cost & Dates

Schedule Overview
Day 1
- Morning: Welcome, Team Meeting, & Lunch
- Afternoon: Team Builder Challenges, Chants, UT Traditions
- Evening: Team Meeting, Dinner, & Late Night Hangout
Day 2
- Morning: Breakfast, Challenge Course, & Team Meeting
- Afternoon: Lunch, Challenge Course, & Team Meeting (Alternate with Morning Session)
- Evening: Dinner, Team Meeting, UT Traditions, & a Bonfire
Day 3
- Morning: Breakfast, Team Meeting
- Afternoon: Closing, & head back to Knoxville
Important Details
- Students needing financial assistance to attend the program are encouraged to apply for a fee waiver to attend cost-free.
- Cabin-style housing is provided at the retreat center
- Students participating in Ignite: Summit will be eligible to move into their University Housing assignment early
- Due to the necessity for early planning and purchasing of supplies, registration fees for cancellations are non-refundable two weeks before program starts.
- Students will need to have a valid UT parking pass. Parking passes can be purchased on the Office for Parking and Transportation website.
