Ignite: Evolve is a two-day campus experience that takes place annually in January, filled with engaging activities alongside your peers and inspirational leaders. Immerse yourself in Knoxville’s vibrant community through shared meals, volunteer opportunities, captivating city excursions, and UTK traditions.
Ignite: Evolve takes place on campus; however, housing is not provided. The $175 registration fee includes transportation to city excursions and service sites, meals, a t-shirt, and program materials.
Spring admits will want to register for the afternoon session of Vol 103 hosted by the Office of First-Year Experience.

Session Cost & Dates
- Spring 2026 dates will be announced in Fall 2025
- Registration will open Mid-November
- The program fee is $175
- Registration fee includes transportation to city excursions and service sites, meals, a t-shirt, and program materials.
Schedule Overview
Friday
- Morning: Welcome, Team Meeting, Team Challenges, & Lunch
- Afternoon: Vol 103 (Spring Admits) or Break (Returning Students)
- Evening: Team Meeting, Dinner, & UT Athletics Experience Tour
Saturday
- Morning: Breakfast, Service or Knoxville Excursion
- Afternoon: Lunch, Service or Knoxville Excursion (Alternate with Morning Session)
- Evening: Dinner, Team Meeting, UT Traditions, Closing
Important Details
- Students needing financial assistance to attend the program are encouraged to apply for a fee waiver to attend cost-free.
- Housing is not provided during the Ignite: Evolve session; students will stay in their spring housing accommodations.
- Due to the necessity for early planning and purchasing of supplies, registration fees for cancellations are non-refundable after January 1.
- Students will need to have their 2026 parking pass. Parking passes can be purchased on the Office for Parking and Transportation website.
