Description: Immigration has been receiving increased attention in the United States and around the world, inciting debates centered around human rights and national security. On this alternative break, participants will analyze and deconstruct the dominant narrative and misconceptions surrounding immigration by partnering with community organizations, serving immigrant populations, and engaging in team reflection. This trip will allow participants to delve into the root causes of immigration, learn about the challenges immigrants face once they arrive in the U.S., and explore how our nation’s immigration policies directly impact their experience.
