Thank you for your interest in serving as a Spring VOLbreaks Learning Partner. An integral part of this program is found in our Faculty/Staff and Graduate Assistant Learning Partners. These members of the experience do not plan the trip, but serve in an advisory capacity throughout the duration of the trip. Learning Partners aide the student trip leaders if any issues were to arise on the trip, and serve as a resource for our VOLbreaks Leaders. Learning Partners get to fully experience a VOLbreak Trip while volunteering alongside the students.
This application will be live through Friday, January 6 at 5pm.
Serving as a Learning Partner is a fantastic way to engage with UT students while giving back to a community. There is NO trip cost associated with being a Learning Partner. We will place one Faculty/Staff or GA Learning Partner per Alternative Break trip.
**Please note that filling out this form notes that you are confident in your ability to serve on an VOLbreak, but since this is an ‘application’ we may not be able to accommodate all interested parties. It would be helpful if you could preemptively ask your supervisor if you can be away from work/class during the days of these VOLbreaks before you submit this application. If an offer is extended to you, we will do our best to match your thematic preferences with our staffing needs, but we may not be able to accommodate all preferences. Thank you so much for your understanding.
