Biography

Hailing from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Maxwell LaCosse is the Graduate Teaching Assistant for Leadership Knoxville Scholars (LKS). He co-teaches the Leadership Knoxville Scholars fall and spring courses, plans excursions throughout to the Knoxville community, and manages the day-to-day communication and administration for the LKS program. He is passionate about rural access to education, engagement with rural populations, and environmentalism. Maxwell received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and is currently a Master of Science candidate in the College Student Personnel at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. In his free time, Max enjoys reading, being outdoors, and playing board games or other tabletop games.
