María Martínez

Assistant Director


María is an educator and facilitator whose interests are at the intersection of social justice, identity exploration, and leadership development. She strives to promote learning for students around social and leadership identities in order to develop into culturally-aware active citizens. María is focusing her scholarship on the experiences of students with minoritized identities within predominantly White institutions. She was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia and is a proud immigrant and first-generation college student. Among these identities, she is also a partner, daughter, sister, cat mom, and house plant enthusiast.
