The Center for Leadership and Service is excited to partner with you to help educate and engage all UT students to lead and serve the global community.
Consulting & Training
Our staff is happy to meet with you to provide ideas for upcoming leadership and service needs. If you are planning a student leadership retreat, departmental goal setting, classroom icebreakers, service projects, or a related project, our staff is more than happy to lend a hand! We are also happy to personally aid in the leadership and service training of your students and staff. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to set up a meeting.
Leadership & Service Ambassador Programs & Service Events
The leadership and service ambassadors (LSAs) are a group of leadership and service educators dedicated to serving the campus and community as a resource group. The LSAs are involved in a variety of community service opportunities and campus organizations, and exist to connect fellow students to leadership and service experiences. They present programs on a variety of topics related to leadership and service and also strive to serve community needs through education, service, and reflection. Contact the LSAs today to request a tailored service experience or leadership program.
Leadership & Service Library
Our leadership and service library contains many of the most influential and useful leadership and service texts and resources. Swing by our office to look through our offerings and check out your new favorite read!
Community Partner Connections
Interested in developing a relationship with a local agency for volunteer opportunities, or curious about opportunities for your students? Check out our online community partner listing, and e-mail email@example.com if we can help make introductions. More extended service-learning relationships are facilitated by UT’s Office of Service-Learning, described in the next section.
We encourage interested faculty, students, and community partners to get in touch with the UT Office of Service-Learning. The office has a threefold purpose:
- To support faculty in the effective design and implementation of service-learning courses
- To facilitate quality service-learning partnerships between faculty and community organizations
- To build capacity for service-learning at UT.
Contact them to learn more or get involved with service-learning at UT.
E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to add yourself to our weekly e-mail list, where you can learn about opportunities for you and your students to get involved in leadership and service offerings on campus and in the community. You can also check out our Sign Up to Serve calendar for upcoming opportunities to give back. Lastly, consider volunteering as a cluster facilitator for LeaderShape, an Alternative Break learning partner, or an Ignite Summit facilitator. For more information on these opportunities, e-mail email@example.com.
Service Hour Tracking
Encourage your students to track their service hours online. You can contact our office to request confirmation of hours logged for classes, scholarship applications, and other uses.
