JCA Service or Program Requests

The Jones Center Ambassadors (JCAs) are a group of student leadership and service educators dedicated to serving the campus and community. They work to connect fellow students to leadership and service experiences.

Service Requests

Looking to do service with your organization or group? Our Jones Center Ambassadors will create a tailored service experience for your UT group/academic class based on your group’s availability, interests, and size.

The Jones Center for Leadership & Service needs at least two weeks to plan and prepare for a ‘service request’. If you have an urgent last minute request for a program or service experience, please do not complete these forms. Instead, email leadserve@utk.edu or call our office directly at 865-974-1039 and we will try our best to accommodate your request.

You can submit a service request through our Service Request Form.

If you are looking to do service individually or don’t have a specific time in mind, you can always visit our new community engagement platform, Serve UTK, to find volunteer opportunities!

Note: If you are a community partner or agency and you have an upcoming service event, you can find more information about how to do so on our partnership opportunities page

Program Requests

The Jones Center Ambassadors (JCAs) present programs to hundreds of students each year on a variety of topics. The programs we offer are:

All About the JCLS

Through this program, students can learn more about all the programs, workshops, and initiatives that the Jones Center for Leadership and Service has to offer and how they can get involved.

Volunteering 101

Students can learn more about reoccurring volunteer opportunities in the Knoxville community, how to sign up for service through the JCLS, and about different community service partners.

How to Be a Good Volunteer

This program is designed to educate students on how to intentionally engage with the community, the importance of service and reflection, and how they can get involved with community service.

You can submit a program request through our Program Request Form.

Are you looking for diversity education programs? MSL Diversity Educators, similar to the JCAs, are peer educators dedicated to serving the campus. MSL Diversity Educators will facilitate educational programs promoting diversity, multiculturalism, social justice, and other special topics for interested organizations, offices, and academic classes.
